We take far too much for granted and fail to offer the praise that is due His name. We oft times whine and moan about supposed injustices that befall us as if the whole world revolved around us. The last time I looked up into the sky the earth revolved around the sun and the morning and evening did not answer to my command. Our lives too are ordered of the Lord we can either pause and give thanks or murmur and complain. The choice is ours, the option is left up to us. We are given the freedom to acknowledge the blessings of God or to ignore them. Each day as we awaken, we have the choice to either walk in thankfulness toward God or seek our own will and way.

There is much to be sorrowful for but there is far more to be thankful for. Each new day, each new sunrise brings with it the opportunity for new blessings. From the rising of the sun to the going down thereof the Lord’s name should be praised. If we spent as much time praising the Lord as we do complaining about life’s ills I think we would find far more sunny days then cloudy ones.

So in light of the suffering of those who endured the earthquake in Haiti I leave you with these words from Red Foley. Lord forgive me when I whine I surely am blessed and the world is mine. My prayers go out to all those affected by the earthquake in Haiti. I pray for the Lord’s blessings to arise out of the ashes of despair and destruction. May the Lord’s healing flow throughout the land, and may His name be praised in the midst of the storm.

The environmentalist movement is anti-human life as this article proves. For anyone to think that regulating a man’s family by denying them the basic human right to reproduce is insane. To think that trees and lakes, and birds and bees take precedence over human life is appalling. And yet this idea of population control is growing more pervasive throughout the environmental movement. We see it’s tentacles extended in our own country as congress debates their HEALTH CARE take-over legislation. The idea that there would be public policy implemented to curtail or control costs of providing health care to the sick based upon some arbitrary assessment as to life value ludicrous. AND YET it is a reality.

The bible states that children are an inheritance from the Lord and a people are blessed by them, and yet this anti-Christ religion of environmentalism teaches just the opposite.

In a sane world this whole notion of killing babies in order to provide a BETTER LIFE would be called what it is INSANE.

This writer and the whole environmentalist movement needs to be rewarded the DODO bird award for their loony ideas.

A planetary law, such as China‘s one-child policy, is the only way to reverse the disastrous global birthrate currently, which is one million births every four days. Ironically, China, despite its dirty coal plants, is the world’s leader in terms of fashioning policy to combat environmental degradation, thanks to its one-child-only edict. The intelligence behind this is the following: -If only one child per female was born as of now, the world’s population would drop from its current 6.5 billion to 5.5 billion by 2050, according to a study done for scientific academy Vienna Institute of Demography. -Doing nothing, by contrast, will result in an unsustainable population of nine billion by 2050. The only fix is if all countries drastically reduce their populations, clean up their messes and impose mandatory conservation measures.

An environmental policy expert is questioning a solution to the alleged problem of global warming that is being offered by Obama’s science advisor.

According to an Associated Press interview, Obama’s science advisor John Holdren has suggested that a solution to the problem of so-called man-made global warming is to shoot pollution into the upper atmosphere in order to reflect the sun. He adds that solution would only be a last resort, but says the problem of global warming is dire.

James Taylor, the senior fellow of environment policy at The Heartland Institute, says Holdren is overreacting to a non-issue because global temperatures have actually dipped in the last few years, despite computer models calling for an increase. On the other hand, Taylor acknowledges Holdren’s efforts.

“Holdren is on to something here in the sense that scientists know that if we had more sulfur dioxide in the atmosphere, this would dramatically cool the planet,” he notes. “Volcanoes release such particles; any major volcano eruption has the tendency to cool the planet for years after the eruption.”

The Obama administration is also attempting to use the Clean Air Act to regulate alleged global warming. But in its original intent, the Act was used to remove human emissions of sulfur dioxide. OneNewsNow asked if simply repealing the Clean Air Act would have the same effect.

“Well, that’s certainly one way we could go about it,” Taylor concludes, laughing. “But we do know that global warming is not accelerating, temperatures have not been rising for most of the past decade –Â and we really have nothing to worry about.”

This one certainly belongs in the cuckoo’s nest for the sheer nonsense of it all. To think these global warming scientists actually believe all this stuff. One one hand they are telling us to STOP POLLUTING and then they turn around and say they need to send POLLUTION into the atmosphere to COOL THE PLANET. WAIT A MINUTE I thought pollution was causing the atomosphere to HEAT UP. DID I miss something here? Which is it? Is man-made pollution heating or cooling the planet? And to think people actually take these people seriously and then they turn around and call me a ‘birdbrain’. I think I hear the men in their white lab coats coming for you John. Eagle out!

When I mention March Madness most people think of NCAA basketball and the final free-for-all playoff tournament. These tournaments determine the national champions of college basketball.

The NCAA tournaments are an American tradition that sends millions of fans into a synchronized frenzy each year. It is this chaos that gives the tournament its March Madness nickname. March Madness is the concentrated hype of 65 teams vying for college basketball’s biggest prize. It’s the last-second, buzzer-beating baskets, the euphoria of winning to play another day, and the agony of losing and going home.

Well this MARCH, and I am not talking basketball, but politics and the AIG bailouts, and bonuses paid to retain “top” employees in a failing business venture. To think Obama’s administration voted for the bail-out bill, which included the exception to executive bonuses, and then turns around and cries foul when those exempted bonuses are actually paid. Is it just me or does this sound like madness to anyone else? We used to call this kind of giving “Indian giving” (my apologies to American Indians). A more accurate analogy of an ‘Indian Giver’ today would be someone looking for a Quid Pro Quo. When a native American Indian gave a gift there was an expectation of a greater gift being given back, or a QUID PRO QUO. Sounds like politicians have taken to the “INDIAN giver” routine quite nicely wouldn’t you agree? But not only are politicians proponents of the Indian gift, so too are American corporations. Much like the large number of College basketball teams vying for a coveted championship, these politicians and corporations are acting like madmen chasing after taxpayer bailouts and government kick-backs. It has become chaotic and zoo-like.

The Federal Government, under Democrat control, asked AIG to write sub-prime loans by promising Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae would back these worthless loan instruments. Fannie and Freddy then found themselves unable to float these bogus loans when the stock market took  a dive, and the whole floor fell out of the housing market. As a result, AIG found themselves, along with other banks and lending institutions, in financial trouble. Obama promised to bail them out because the government was responsible for this irresponsible lending program in the first place but “do not tell anyone”.

As a result of the bail-out the government, which sees itself as having control over the insurance giant, now wants to tell AIG how to run their business. Again the feds are struck with madness. To think that a bunch of bureaucrats, who have never run anything bigger than a re-election campaign, feel they are qualified to run the largest insurance company in the world. This is totally insane! Just look at how well they run the government! Anyway, back-room negotiations go on and the deal is struck. Months later, when business returns to normal, which is after all what the bail out was supposed to accomplish, and the bonuses are actually paid, the government cries foul.

I am not sure who was supposed to give whom what, but something apparently fell apart in this INDIAN GIFT exchange. AIG wanted something in return for the bail out or UNCLE SAM wanted something in return for the gift but neither got what they thought they were getting. I would simply call that FRAUD.

While congress is madly rushing about trying to figure out how to get the money back, and keep the country focused on this INDIAN GIFT exchange, underneath the radar, billions of taxpayer dollars have left the country through AIG to foreign banks. In the wake of all this madness surrounding the AIG debacle, Congress continues to move full-speed ahead on ever-increasing government spending and freedom robbing legislation.

Congress is chasing millions while billions have left the country. The Obama administration wants the country to be outraged over a few company bonuses while they continue to spend trillions of dollars on worthless pork projects. Why are they concentration on a measly 163 million while they spend trillions? THIS IS MADNESS at the highest level. THESE PEOPLE are INSANE!

All this madness would never have happened if our elected officials had only listened to ‘WE THE PEOPLE’. We told congress not to BAIL THESE FOLKS out in the first place. I am convinced however that the whole AIG program was orchestrated by the Obama administration as a way to funnel tax payer money to foreign donors to his campaign under the guise of BAILING OUT FAILED Companies. After all, none of the money actually did any good in bailing out any of the intended benefactors of the government largess. IN fact the reverse is true! They are still failing.

Call me mad if you want to, but I was never in favor of bailing out any company- especially with taxpayer money. I might have supported a moratorium on corporate taxes to help them restructure their debt load but I would have never thrown money at them. So it truly is MARCH MADNESS on full display in our federal government. This whole scandalous event, demonstrates vividly the ineptitude of the current crop of elected officials. The inmates have for a surety, taken over the asylum. I would say someone has flown over the cuckoo’s nest this month. What say you?

Along for the journey

China has announced they are ready to mass produce an Eco-friendly vehicle to the world market as soon as certain Environmental issues are resolved. According to one report environmentalists are a little concerned over the amount of CO2 emissions from this new vehicle. Although the internal combustion engine’s only emissions are H2O and CO2 the environmentalists feel the CO2 levels are too high to qualify as a truly carbon neutral vehicle. However they state it certainly is a move in the right direction.

Although not entirely carbon fuel free the engine surely out performs other internal combustion engines in its fuel efficiency. China expects to iron out the environmental issues in time to release the new models by late Spring 2009.

In other news a mid-Pennsylvania manufacturer has been working feverishly on their own bio-fuel eco-friendly vehicle. Using technology from Pennsylvania’s rich agricultural heritage, ABC manufacturing has been able to mass produce a fuel efficient mass transit vehicle that should meet stricter environmental standards currently under consideration in Congress. Representatives of the company expect good consumer acceptance of their offering. Priced thousands less than GM, FORD or Chrysler Hybrids, ABC manufacturing hopes to cash in on the economy car market with their latest offering.

In North Carolina the Christmas song “Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer” was temporarily banned from being sung by children at a Christmas concert. Why? Apparently a parent complained that the song contained the words “Christmas” and “Santa,” words which she believes carry religious overtones and finds offensive.

Apparently Santa and Rudolph are the new symbols of the Christmas Story. No longer are Shepherds, sheep and angels symbols of the Story of Christmas. I am not surprised that this has happened for even in the church house the Christmas tree is of more improtance than the Christmas Star, that Star being the Lord Jesus Christ who came to earth, born of a virgin, to save us from sin and death. No longer is the Heralding angels announcing the birth of a King the focal point for they have been replaced with advertisements and parades heralding the arrival of Santa Clause.

If this is not a commentary on the state of our culture than I do not know what is. Perhaps it is time the church stop celebrating Christmas and start celebrating the life of Christ. What say you?
